Born: 1852 France. Died: 17 December 1893 Sydney Harbour, New South Wales, Australia. | ||
Edmond Marie Marin la Meslée came to Australia from France in 1876 and joined the New South Wales Department of Lands and the Surveyor-General's Office in 1878. He was primarily responsible for founding the Geographical Society of Australasia. Its first meeting was in 1883. |
