Born: 28 October 1855 Little Para, South Australia, Australia. Died: 5 June 1912 Woodville, South Australia. | ||
Francis James Gillen worked on the overland telegraph line from 1875 and was appointed the Alice Springs post and telegraph station master in 1892. He assisted on the Horn Scientific Expedition to Central Australia in 1894 and later continued to work with W.B. Spencer. |
