Helms, Richard (1842 - 1914)

Naturalist and Bacteriologist
Born: 12 December 1842  Altona, Hanover, Germany.  Died: 17 July 1914  Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
Richard Helms was a field officer on the Elder Scientific Exploring Expedition 1891-2. He worked for the Australian Museum 1888-90, the New South Wales Department of Agriculture from 1891 as a collector and from 1900 as a bacteriologist. He worked in WA 1896-99.
