Barron, Ellen (1875 - 1951)

Born: 1875  Abingdon, Berkshire, England.  Died: 8 July 1951  Caboolture, Queensland, Australia.
Ellen Barron worked at the Queensland Government Baby Clinics from 1918 under the guidance of Florence Chatfield and in 1924 worked with Truby King in New Zealand. From 1923-39 she was superintendent of the Baby Clinics and started a training course for infant nurses. She was a foundation member and trustee of the Nurses' Rest Home and Benevolent Fund.
