| Born: 18 December 1876 London, England. Died: 2 December 1960 Cammeray, New South Wales, Australia. | ||
| Alexander James Gibson was Assistant Lecturer in Engineering, Building and Design at the University of Sydney from 1903. In 1910 he was appointed found- ation Professor of Engineering at the University of Queensland. In the 1920s he moved into private practice as a consulting engineer. |
