| Born: 1853 Aberdeen, Scotland. Died: 8 May 1926 St Kilda, Victoria, Australia. | ||
| William Jamieson took a leading part in the establishment of the Broken Hill mines and surveyed the site of the Broken Hill township. He was appointed General Manager, Broken Hill Mining Co. (later BHP Co. Ltd) 1884-85. |
