Alan John (Jock) Marshall was the founding Professor of Zoology and Comparative Physiology and Dean of Science, Monash University 1960-67. He was previously Reader in Zoology and Comparative Anatomy at the University of London 1949-59 and had a distinguished war record. |

Born Sydney, 17 February 1911. Died Melbourne, 20 July 1967. Educated Universities of Sydney (BSc 1940) and Oxford (DPhil 1949, DSc 1956).
