(Sir) Henry Carr Maudsley was an eminent surgeon and physician who was a member of staff at the Melbourne Hospital for over twenty years. Prior to this he worked at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and at University College Hospital in London. During World War I, Maudsley served with the Australian imperial Force both in Greece and at their London headquarters. He has received three imperial honors including the appointment to Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE). |
