(Sir) John Lawrance McKelvey was Honorary Surgeon at the Royal Prince Alfred and St Vincent's Hospitals in New South Wales during the 1920s. During this time he also worked as a consultant at the South Sydney Women's and Canterbury District Memorial hospitals, and was surgical tutor (for ten years) and clinical surgery lecturer at the University of Sydney. He was knighted in 1933. |
