Born: 14 February 1881 Maryborough, Queensland, Australia. Died: 22 October 1957 Ascot, Queensland. | |
Valentine McDowall was a dermatologist who was a pioneer in the fields of clinical radiography as well as wireless and television. He is believed to be the first in Queensland to introduce the use of radium in the treatment of dermatological conditions (1920s/1930s). McDowall was also heavily involved in radio broadcasting helping to produce the first live broadcast in Queensland. |
