Littler, Frank Mervyn (1880 - 1922)

Born: 1 January 1880  Launceston, Tasmania, Australia.  Died: 1 July 1922  Ravenswood, Tasmania, Australia.
Frank Mervyn Littler was an accountant, who is most noted for his ornithological and entomological studies and collections. He was a foundation member of the Royal Australasian Ornithologit’s Union and a member of the Entomological Society (of London), the Entomological Society of America and the American Association of Economic Entomologists. Littler wrote many well received articles in journals and newspapers, but is best known for his text the Handbook of the birds of Tasmania and its dependencies.
