Helene Denise Marsh has been Professor of Zoology (Personal Chair) and Director of Environmental Studies, James Cook University of North Queensland 1991-94, Professor of Environmental Science and Head, Department of Tropical Environment Studies and Geography 1994-date and Dean, Postgraduate Studies 2000-date. Her major research has been on the biology of dugongs.
