Charles Barry (Barry) Osmond was Professor of Environmental Biology at the Australian National University, Canberra 1978-87, Director, Research School of Biological Sciences 1991-98 and Professor, Photo Bioenergetics Group 1998-ca 2001. He published widely in the fields of photosynthesis, photorespiration and plant ecology.
