Born: 10 June 1927  Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.  Died: 2 July 1988  Fontainbleau, France.
Bede Morris was a professor in the Department of Immunology at the John Curtin School of Medical Research at the Australian National University 1970-88. He graduated in veterinary science at the University of Sydney and pioneered the use of sheep and cattle as experimental animals.

Fellow, Australian Academy of Science 1969; Chevalier dans l'Ordre National du Mérite, France; Légion d'Honneur, France 1988. Chairman, Rural Credits Development Fund, Reserve Bank.
