Born: 6 February 1904  Ipswich, Queensland, Australia.  Died: 20 December 1980  Auchenflower, Queensland, Australia.
(Sir) William Allan T. Summerville worked as an enmtermologist with the Department of Agriculture and Stock in Brisbane. He was made Director of plant industry in 1947 and advanced applied research in horticulture and pastures, establishing many soil conservation teams.
