Trebilcock, Richard Ernest (1880 - 1976)

 
Naturalist
Born: 30 June 1880  Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 2 June 1976  Kerang, Victoria, Australia.
Richard Ernest Trebilcock accompanied R.E. Hall (q.v.) to the Lena River Delta, Siberia in 1903 as taxidermist and photographer. They reached one of the breeding grounds of the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Calidris acuminata, where they saw chicks and collected a female, about 50 years before this breeding ground was officially announced by Russian ornithologist K.A. Vorobiev.
