Harold Caulfield was Curator of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens 1956-79. He wrote horticultural columns in journals and daily papers and presented horticultural programs on radio. |

Born Melbourne, 18 July 1918. Died Brisbane, 30 August 1994. AM. Began his career in a Melbourne nursery, Melbourne Botanic Gardens 1930s, sergeant in 2/11 Field Artillery during World War II, returned to Melbourne Botanic Gardens, then became a plant propagator at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. Curator, Brisbane Botanic Gardens 1956-79, Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens 1979-82. Foundation President, Society for Growing Australian Plants. |
