Born: 13 June 1902  Fitzroy, South Australia, Australia.  Died: 8 July 1977  North Adelaide, South Australia.
(Sir) Mark Ledingham Mitchell was Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Adelaide from 1938 to 1963 and Chancellor of Flinders University of South Australia from 1966 to 1971. He held other positions including Chairman of the South Australian Museum Board from 1959.
