Born: 14 September 1881 Majorca, Victoria, Australia. Died: 26 February 1937 Sassafras, Victoria. | ||
Alfred Michael Nicholas began his career as a grocer, later becoming an importer and merchant. In 1917 he joined his brother George as business manager in G.R. Nicholas & Co. (later known as Nicholas Pty Ltd), which produced aspro. In later years his house at Burnham Beeches was used as a research and development centre by the company. He was a keen gardener, who imported seedlings and shrubs and the staff to tend them. |
