William, James Leslie (1915 - 1994)

Born: 18 January 1915  Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.  Died: 4 June 1994.
James Leslie William was a scientific instrument maker from the 1930s to the 1980s. His best instrument was the Kelvin double bridge for measuring small resistances to one part in a million. He commenced a science course at the University of Melbourne but did not graduate. Later he completed a Master of Science (MSc) at Monash University (1970) and worked at his brother Austin's electrical instrument firm during World War II, then had his his own business until the 1980s.
