Arthur Mitchell Wilson was the most eminent Victorian obstetrician of his day, delivering on average one thousand babies a year.

c. 1912 - c. 1915Resident Medical Officer at Melbourne Hospital and Resident Staff at the Women's Hospital
1913Doctor of Medicine (MD) completed at the University of Melbourne
1915 - 1919Captain then major and lieutenant-colonel in the Australian Imperial Force and commander of the 7th Field Ambulance
1918Distinguished Service Order (DSO) received
1919 - Private practice in Victoria
1920 - Honorary Obstetric Surgeon at the Women's Hospital, Melbourne
1926 - Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne
1929 - Foundation Fellow of the Australian branch of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
