Herbert Ward Wilson was lecturer in nature study at the Melbourne Training College (later Melbourne Teachers' College) ca 1905-1942. His lifelong interest in natural history led to his membership of several natural history organisations and to the foundation of the Gould League of Bird Lovers of Victoria (1910). He is commemorated by a perpetual trophy of the Gould League which was established in 1963. Wilson also lectured in Botany at the Victorian College of Pharmacy and was an examiner to the Pharmacy Board of Victoria. |
