Nellie Fisher, the first female scientist to head a chemical laboratory in Australia, worked for Kodak in Melbourne 1939-62. She had earlier worked for Kodak in England and was chosen to go to Australia because of her vast knowledge of the preparation and testing of sensitising dyes. |
