Jozsef Bela (Joe) Sumeghy migrated to Australia in 1949 as a refugee after World War II. After two years compulsory work with the Department of Immigration in Australia he set about gaining recognition in Australia for his Hungarian University qualifications. He worked with the New South Wales Department of Agriculture for many years. Sumeghy had a number of articles published in scientific journals and also contributed to other publications. This continued after his retirement in 1982. |
