Alfred James Watson was a a wood chemistry expert who worked with the CSIR/CSIRO from 1933 to 1976. He was a foundation member of the Australian and New Zealand Pulp and Paper Technical Association (now APPITA) and later given life membership. During his time at CSIR/O Watson made many study trips overseas including to Japan, Spain, South America and India. In Brazil he lectured on pulping and paper manufacturing at the University of San Paulo. |
