Born: 17 August 1823 Calcutta, India. Died: 5 February 1890 Cannes, France. | ||
(Sir) Edward Wolstenholme Ward was the inaugural deputy-master of the Sydney branch of the Royal Mint 1853-66, and of the Melbourne branch 1869-70(?). He was an active member of the Philosophical (Royal) Society of New South Wales and a trustee of the Australian Museum. He presented a talk to the Philosophical Society of New South Wales on the analysis of certain colonial coals. |
